Guy’s career as an NPR employee began in the year 1997 when he joined NPR as an intern. He served as an intern in NPR’s one of the famous events ‘All Things Considered’. His works were appreciated and praised by many. Then after a year, in 1998, Guy got graduated as a personal research assistant to former NPR Senior News Analyst, Daniel Schorr.

In around mid-2000, Guy was assigned as the NPR’s Berlin bureau chief. He was responsible for covering Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Then, after two years, in 2002, he was upgraded as the NPR’s London bureau chief. In London, he was responsible for covering Europe and the Middle East.

Then, in 2004, Guy decided to leave NPR as he resigned from the post of Jerusalem correspondent. After he left his job, he took over as a host in the show ‘All Things Considered’ in the year 2009. His hosting and communication skills were loved by thousands of people. He left this job too in around 2012 and got appointed as a host and editorial director in another show named ‘TED Radio Hour’ in March of 2013. This particular show was declared as one of the most downloaded podcasts all over America. But, in 2019, he announced his resignation from the post.

In the year 2016, Guy hosted a new podcast on NPR itself. The show was called ‘How I Built This’ and it was about entrepreneurship, its features and so on. After a year, he decided to conduct NPR’s first Children’s program which was awarded for its brilliance. Then after leaving his job as a host in TED Radio Hour, he joined Luminary podcast ‘Wisdom from the Top’ as a host. 

Besides all the hosting, he also served as a professor and taught Journalism at Princeton University, Georgetown University, and George Washington University. In current days, he is still working at National Public Radio (NPR).
