Rindy Ross is a famous American singer, saxophonist, musician, and songwriter of the American rock group Quarterflash which was formed in 1980 in Portland, Oregon. Rindy was the permanent member and also the lead vocalist of the band.

Rindy Ross was born Orinda Sue on 26th June 1951 in Portland, Oregon, USA. She is 72 years old. The identities of her parents have not been disclosed to date and her nickname is ‘Rindy’.

Rindy Ross first started her career as a teacher at Central Oregon after her graduation and later quit the job after three years to pursue her talents in music with her husband Marv Ross.

Rindy along with her husband formed the American rock group named ‘Quaterflash’ in 1980 in Portland, Oregon.

The band consists of Marv Ross who is the guitarist and Rindy Ross who is the lead singer and saxophonist originally and later added other members – Jack Charles who became guitarist, Rick DiGiallonardo who played keyboards/synthesizers, Rich Gooch who played electric bass, and Brian David Willis who played drums and percussion.

The band (merging two popular Oregon bands, Seafood Mama and Pilot) went on to gain huge popularity and success in the 1980s and the 1990s by releasing hit songs like  ‘Harden My Heart’, and ‘Girl in the Wind’.

Their album Quarterflash, which was released in September 1981, reached No. 8 on Billboard’s Top LPs & Tapes chart and sold over a million copies which earned them RIAA platinum status the next year.

The other songs of the band that were able to chart on the billboard are ‘Harden My Heart’, ‘Take Me to Heart’, and ‘Back Into Blue’.

The band also has appeared on soundtracks of two of 1982’s biggest films,  Ron Howard’s Night Shift and  Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982. 

In 1990, the band reunited and hired a few session musicians too. It had Doug Fraser on guitar, Greg Williams on drums, Sandin Wilson on bass and vocal, and Mel Kubik on saxophone and keyboards.

Rindy Ross’s Husband and Children

Rindy Ross is married to Marv Ross, the main guitarist of Quarterflash. The couple first met in their university days when both were pursuing their education degree at the University of  Western Oregon.

They tied the knot after their graduation and it was revealed that Marv had pursued Rindy to be the lead vocalist in the band. It has not been revealed whether the couple has children or not.
